Learning and experience

The first semester covers research design, democracy, public opinion and policy analysis. Later study offers choices such as migration, welfare states and multilevel governance, subject to the year’s availability. A 12-credit dissertation lets you bring the methods together around a political question.

Who it may suit

It may suit you if you want to examine public decisions, institutions or political behaviour in depth. The research training can support further academic study and interests in policy analysis, public administration or civil-society organisations.

Admission and intake

Political science, sociology, economics, history and related graduates are welcomed. B2 English is required; relevant applicants from other backgrounds may be assigned additional preparation.
