Building research experience
The programme connects fundamental physics with quantum information and technology. Students can explore those directions through taught work and a master’s thesis, developing independence within a research group.
Before choosing a research master’s, think about the questions that keep your attention. Reading a few recent projects and asking about supervision can help you judge whether you would enjoy the day-to-day work. Research involves patient exploration as well as moments of discovery.
Ansøgningsproces
The university lists physics, engineering physics, chemistry, electronic engineering and mathematics among the relevant entry backgrounds, with other degrees considered individually. Selection uses academic records, a CV and recommendation letters. Include course descriptions so the team can understand your preparation.
Planning your year
The teaching locations span Bilbao and Leioa. Check your expected timetable before choosing accommodation, and allow for travel as well as independent study time. Our Spanien-guide covers budgeting and practical preparation.
