Learning and experience
The first semester concentrates on theory; the second gives space to a compulsory placement and dissertation. The study plan allocates 15 ECTS to each of those final components and includes genomics and molecular-genetics methods. This separation can make it easier to immerse yourself in the work of a laboratory or research group.
Who it may suit
It may suit you if you want to develop research confidence and explore genetics in biotechnology, agriculture, health or conservation. Your placement topic can help you test which area you would like to pursue next.
Admission and intake
A bioscience, medicine, pharmacy or veterinary degree, prior study of genetics and B1 English are listed in the admissions requirements.
