Listening, programming and experimenting
The academic programme covers audio signal processing, machine learning, music perception and computational approaches to music. A 20-credit thesis gives you a sustained project alongside 40 credits of taught study.
You might be interested in how software identifies a musical pattern, transforms a sound or supports a new instrument. These are examples of the kinds of questions that can help you decide whether the course’s technical focus matches your curiosity.
What background helps?
The programme’s ÎNTREBĂRI FRECVENTE describes a strong fit for applicants with computing knowledge and a musical interest, while welcoming other backgrounds with relevant preparation. Mathematics, programming, signal processing and machine learning are useful areas to review.
The formal application requirements include a qualifying degree, transcript, English CV and motivation letter, an academic recommendation and B2 English. Depending on your preparation, additional study may extend the course; ask the academic team how this would affect your timetable and budget.
