What you will explore
The programme brings together English linguistics, literature and culture, with research methods and academic communication among its themes. The current course record lists 48 compulsory credits and a 12-credit final project.
This is advanced subject study for students who already use English confidently. Think about the questions you would like to investigate: perhaps how people use language in different settings, how a writer constructs a voice or how a text travels between cultures. A clear interest can make the process of choosing a postgraduate course much more rewarding.
Background and English level
UV recommends applicants with a degree in English Studies or English Philology and requires at least C1 English. Its admissions profile explains accepted ways to demonstrate language ability, including certificates and a level test.
When comparing your options, look at the research interests of the teaching team and the subjects you would most enjoy reading about for a sustained period.
