Investigate social and political change through comparative, historical and quantitative approaches. This English-taught master’s is built around research methods and interdisciplinary social science.
Learning through research
The curriculum spans sociological analysis, comparative politics, economic history, statistics and research design, with an 18-credit thesis. The extended project is an opportunity to develop a question beyond the scope of a single class.
Admissions and fit
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Social-science and legal backgrounds receive priority, while other motivated graduates may be considered. Review the official English-language requirements.
Looking ahead
The research emphasis may suit plans for doctoral study or analytical work on social issues. Compare the balance of methods and substantive subjects with the type of evidence you want to learn to use.
