Questions, data and practical decisions

Το study plan combines 21 compulsory credits, 30 elective credits and a nine-credit thesis. You can follow a monitoring or evaluation specialisation, or select from the available electives without taking either specialisation.

Topics include sustainability, competitiveness and the assessment of tourism’s effects. Electives extend into areas such as geographical information systems, climate change and revenue management. Think about whether you most enjoy collecting evidence, explaining patterns or assessing what a proposed change might achieve.

Studying in English

The course can be completed in English. Some optional subjects use Spanish and require B2 Spanish, but this is not a general admission requirement. Choose your modules with their teaching language in mind.

Admissions and timing

Το admissions guidance mainly addresses tourism, economics and business graduates, while considering other relevant backgrounds. B2 English can be demonstrated through the listed certificates, previous education or an admissions interview.

The published application windows for 2026/27 have ended. Later enrolment dates apply to admitted students; ask UIB about the next application cycle.

Planning for Mallorca

Compare housing contracts and the journey to campus before committing to a place. Include travel to the island in your budget alongside rent, food and tuition. Our Spain guide helps you work through those preparations.
